Quite simply, our captains are our best assets. Everyday our customers rave about their experiences no matter which of our captains they have the opportunity to fish with.

Capt. Peace Marvel

26' Glacier Bay "Peace Keeper"

LDWF 396098

Peace_croppedLegend has it that Peace was conceived when his mother had a dream that she was pierced in the side by the bill of a snow white marlin. His uncanny ability to find fish and entice them to bite has earned him the reputation as one of the top blue water fishermen anywhere. Peace has developed many of the techniques now commonly used throughout the Gulf of Mexico and the world. Peace is also a sought after speaker giving seminars from Miami to New York as well as the Gulf of Mexico. Though he fishes all over the globe Venice, Louisiana is his homeport from which he guides anglers to the cornucopia of fish off the mouth of the Mississippi River. Prior to fishing for a living full time, Peace spent his life traveling around the world fishing and playing guitar. He has fished and played in 14 different countries and though he gave up performing for fishing he is still an avid songwriter. You can check out his music at http://www.myspace.com/peacemarvel. Notable quote from Peace, “Peter Pan’s got nothing on me!”

Capt. Darryl Couvillion

26' Glacier Bay 'J-Nippler"

LDWF 0510416167

DarrylDarryl is a member of what some believe to be the first family of Venice, the Couvillions. Darryl became one of the team when his Brother Timmy retired and turned over the helm to Darryl, and he has not looked back since. Darryl attributes his success bottom fishing to his experience as a commercial diver. He has an intimate knowledge of how and when the big fish relate to structures. Darryl is also an accomplished Tuna and Marlin fisherman.

Capt. Andy Cook

26' Glacier Bay

LDWF 0288558646

Andy_shark_ridingAndy is a plaquemines parish native who feels the Gulf of Mexico is his own backyard. Commercial fishing in Mississippi has kept him busy the last few years, but the social part of being a guide has brought him home to Venice. He believes his home is the best fishing the world has to offer, and works hard everyday to prove it. Andy's passion is making memories, so billing big blues and releasing giant tarpon can soon be a memory of yours.
