Bo Rasmussen

Prattville, AL USA

On Jan. 27th we fished out of Venice on a charter with reel peace charter and capt delvin. I have fished for forty years in saltwater and never have been so disapointed. We left the dock with only one box of frozen bait no way enough for a all day tuna trip. We were told that had only three jigs on the boat and we lost two of them in the first stops. The fish were at 100ft down and the current was a little strong and we free line without any weights to get down to the fish and his idea chum was to cut up two or three fish and broadcast. I ask the capt aruond 1:30 could we try to do something else to catch anything from the rigs and he said I'm a sportfisherman and I don't do bottom fishing. Well it was then very clear that this guy was not out to back up ReelPeace Charters Logo " Only Serice in Venice To Offer A Customer Satisfaction Guarantee" We work for the Bass Pro Shops and our customer are well taken care of and we go out of way to make them happy sorry that you don't feel that way.

From Mike Lane:

Go figure... I checked and out the 186,779 reports on RodnReel, this is Bo Rasmussen's first report.

Your complaint is wrought with a lack of fishing knowledge. Case in point... You do not catch tuna on a box or boxes of frozen baits. When fishing tuna with cut bait the process is to let the bait drift naturally with the chum... hence no sinkers!

Devlin is one of the best and hardest working Tuna captains in the gulf. If you didn't catch as much as you expected, that's fishing!

Your complaint is with God, not Devlin. Good luck on lambasting God! Be a man, suck it up and get on with you life.

I am sometimes disappointed in humanity. A little heavy I know, but Bo you disappoint all hard working honest fishermen out there! Click for More Reports
