We just got home from a great Bull Redfish trip on March 24th, 2010 with Captain Andy Cook. The weather could not have been much worse; a front moving through with cold rain, winds 10 - 20 mph and about 38 degrees when we left the dock. We had this one day to fish and Capt. Andy took us out despite the poor conditions and it couldn't have turned out much better as fas as we're concerned. It started a little slow but it didn't stay that way for long and by the end of the day we had boated 50+ fish. Big Redfish was our target and we caught 4 fish under 27" (keepers + our 1 each over 27") all the rest were bigger and it was a blast! We did catch some snapper and Capt. Andy offered to put us on smaller fish for the cooler but we wanted to stay on the Bulls so we did. By the time we were done fishing is wasn't a question of if the fish were going to bite but how big would they be as we boated 2 at a time!At the end of the day we had fish for the cooler, tired bodies, a lot of fun, a new friend, cold beer and were greatful for the opportunity!
Thanks to Reel Peace Charter and Captain Andy Cook for a great time. Some guys on the dock didn't think we had a prayer...but we did and it worked - ask Capt. Andy!
