Just received a text from Devlin with Reel Peace Charters.... He's fishing today, and just texted me to say that the West Delta is completely loaded with schools of herring and pogies. His live well is full, and they are off to find the tuna. He said there is no evidence of oil in the area, and that there is not even a hint of any scent of oil. He'll give an update when he returns this afternoon, but with that much bait, things are looking good!!!! Remember, the closed area only represents about 30% of the fishing grounds that our Venice captains fish, and most of the rigs they fish during this time of year - such as Thunder Horse, Devils Tower, Mars, Lena, Ursa and Cognac - are OUTSIDE of the no-fishing zone.
