GARY LAI
DAVIE, FL USA
I flew in with my fishing buddy, Cesar all the way from South Florida on Sunday, August 17th. This was our first time to Venice in search for the beautiful Yellowfin. Our first trip in July was cancelled due to Hurricane Dolly. We met my father in law, Steve and Uncle Cau Hai for this venture. We were not disappointed. The ride was rough and bumpy but the rewards were great. We hooked up about 11 times but were able to keep 6 fish in the 55-60lb range, 2 undersized were released, and 3 got away to fight another day.Captain Peace and deck hand Paul stayed persistent and kept at 'em and it all payed off in the end...It was a very memorable trip indeed with the greatest memory being a 30 second bonanza of countless yellowfins blowing up the surface one after the other in pursuit of baitfish. That was something we'll never forget. Click for More Reports
