REEL PEACE CHARTERS Capt. Peace Marvel - Venice, LA USA
Jerry Jones, Brian Chamberlain and friends made the trip down from Tennessee & Missouri to tangle with some Tuna.Capt. Peace and Capt. Timmy teamed up to put them on 10 Yellowfin, all 50# beauties that looked as if they came out of the same mold. Most of the fish were caught on rigged ballyhoo, but some took a Pink MirrOLure or trolled squid chain.
On the way in, they stopped and pulled three Amberjacks from the depths to top off the fishbox, along with a lonesome 50# Cobia that came to take a look.
While offshore, they were also entertained by a huge Manta Ray that kept gracefully circling under the boat. It was truly a beautiful sight, and one these guys will not soon forget.
Now is the time to plan your summer trips. June and July are QUICKLY filling up, so don't delay.

REEL PEACE CHARTERS Capt. Peace Marvel - Venice, LA USA
Capt. Peace reported in late last night. Lane Foil and crew fished hard and ended their day with 5 Yellowfin, the largest just under 100#. The other four Yellowfin averaged 50#.The excitement of the day came when a Blue Marlin followed a skipjack to the boat. The skippy had been hooked on a popper, and it's erratic motion excited the Blue, which hung around the boat all lit up, while the crew scrambled to get a bait out. As quickly as it appeared, it swam away. Another Blue took a swat at a trolled ballyhoo, knocked it out of the rigger, but missed the bait.
Capt. Brett had Eddie Melancon and his buddies and children on board. They caught 4 nice Yellowfin Tuna and a beautiful 40# Bull Dolphin. Having a small amount of strength left, Capt. Brett headed for the Amberjack rigs, where the customers boated their limts of AJ's in short order. They had a relaxing ride in on the Glacier Bay.

Capt. Peace and Mustad Jeff reported in late last night from their scouting trip for the elusive Bluefin Tuna. They made the long run and fished hard with monster baits. In the process of making bait at one of the floaters, they caught 5 yellowfin and 2 small Dolphin. They encountered one explosive strike at one of the drill ships, but the fish got cut off in the cables on the run.
Capt. Billy had Ty Nguyen on-board and they had a fantastic day boating 8 Yellowfin and 2 Wahoo.
The seas have been kind the past two days and this weekend is looking good as well.

REEL PEACE CHARTERS Capt. Peace Marvel - Venice, LA USA
Capt. Billy just called in his weekend report as he headed out early this morning. Looks like the winds have given us a small window of opportunity, so if you can get out, do it in the next day or so.Friday, Marty Hoskins and crew managed to wrestle 7 nice Yellowfin up to 75# to the boat.
Saturday, we had a three boat bachelor party trip with Paul Flowers. They celebrated while reeling in 8 Yellowfin up to 40# and one Wahoo.
Monday, Buck Neely tricked Mother Nature by staying in town an extra day. He was originally scheduled to fish Sunday, but the winds kept him in port. He and his buddies had 8 Yellowfin up to 60#, 2 Wahoo and a Bull Dolphin. Sure is nice to see the dolphin making an appearance. For those of you that like to chase Bluefin, there have been several sightings. I think Capt. Peace & Mustad Jeff might be doing a little scouting today for them.
I have Capt. Timmy open tomorrow (WED) and raring to go, if you want to take advantage of the good weather and hot bite, give Susan a call at 985-534-2278.
